How to get Google NoCaptcha when adding new topic?
How to get Google NoCaptcha when adding new topic?
9 years 4 months ago - 9 years 4 months ago
Hello,
How to I get the new Google NoCaptcha/ReCaptcha v2 into the NTS KInfinite template, when entering new topic, instead of the old captcha that looks like something from the 1980's?
My customer is a "state of the art"-kinda company, and does not want the old captcha as it "does not fit their profile"
Cheers

Hi Zorroson,
Sorry about delay. Our developer is researching how to improve reCaptcha 2.0 to the NTS KInfinite template. So we need more time for this task, we will give you an answer tomorrow.
Sorry again.

Hi zorroson,
Our developer tried to update the captcha 2.0 code to the NTS Infinite template but it does not work. Sorry about delay answer, we will full refund to you if you want. The Kunena 5 beta 3 has been released. We will update the NTS KInfinte template to compatible with Kunena 5 stable.
That mean the NTS KInfinite template will be support Kunena 5 and Google captcha 2.0
Please let's us know your opinion.

Hi,
I'm really sad and disappointed about your message, but a refund will not solve anything for us, as we need to progress and go live within a few days, and don't have time to start over again with a new template.
So we will need to look for a alternative solution or developer, to solve our problem.
Thanx for your time on this.
Regards,
Zorroson

Forgot to mention - I don't understand why it's not possible, as Joomla 3.x ReCaptcha ver. 2 works with Kunena 4.x standard template Crypsis?

I hate to sound like a wet blanket, but this is a
known problem
that will
not be addressed by the Kunena development team
.
People need to understand that Kunena 4.0 comes in two "flavours": there is the older-style Blue Eagle look and there is the newer Crypsis look. All third-party templates (at the time of writing) are based on the older-style Blue Eagle look; this also means that all templates from 9themestore are based on Blue Eagle. Certain features of Joomla (for example the Joomla - reCATPCHA plugin) only work with Crypsis (or third-party templates based on Kunena's HMVC). At the moment I am unaware of any third-party developers who have written templates for Kunena that are based on the new style template framework.
K 5.0 will not include any support for non-HMVC style templates. At this time, this means that people who update to K 5.0 will only be able to use Crypsis . The problem for third-party developers of templates for Kunena is that there is no technical documentation available about how to design, build or maintain HMVC templates.
This, therefore, is a challenge for all third-party developers of templates for Kunena. Although it's understandable that the Kunena developers want to make Kunena easier for them to maintain (and, theoretically, easier for third-party template designers to design, build and maintain their products, too), K 4.0 has been a wild ride; its development has been somewhat "fluid"—features have been added and removed with each successive new release—adding further problems for third-party developers.
I think the people here at 9themestore should be commended for their willingness to refund a customer's purchase simply because of underlying problems with the original supplier. 9themestore's designs are quite good, in my opinion, but I don't think it's a poor reflection on 9themestore that they, like everyone else in this market, are caught out because of the Kunena development team's attitude to both their customers and third-party developers.
Good work, 9themestore!
