Hello.

I installed Kunea last days.

When I go to my profile there is no option to edit it?

Here is my configuration:

Huyen Nguyen: The version of Kunena being used in this case is an advanced copy of the next release (K 4.0.7). As you know, each release of Kunena 4.0 introduces new problems and creates further headaches for third-party templates developers. (In the end I was unable to keep up with all the changes and I abandoned my template-building business because I could no longer support Kunena. In the end I simply removed Kunena from several of my websites and used a different forum product.) We do not know what changes have been made in K 4.0.7.

Budrys: I think the best solution in this case is to go back to version K 4.0.6. As I saw in your topic posted at K.org, the reason that Jelle Kok told you to use this development version of Kunena was so that you could install Kunena on your website in the first place. Well, you've installed Kunena but you are using an unsupported version of it. I suspect that if you use K 4.0.6 you will be able to edit your user profile.

Yes, I know how to downgrade Kunena. I do not know anything about K 4.0.7 (because it has not been released to the public and I do not know what changes have been buried within it). The normal method of "downgrading" Kunena is to use the same method as upgrading Kunena except that you select a different installation package.

The general upgrade procedure is described in www.kunena.org/docs/K_4.0_Upgrade_Guide.

Note that the K 4.0. Upgrade Guide contains outdated references to K 3.0. The Kunena "documentation library" (Wiki) is, in my opinion, not very well maintained. Let me put that in another way: in my opinion, there is no reliable documentation (written by the Kunena developers) for Kunena version 4.0—the documentation is either old/outdated, wrong/inappropriate or non-existent.

Hi Budrys,

If you want to downgrade the Kunena version, the first step you should to clone or backup your site. After that remove the Kunena 4.0.7 on your site and reinstall the Kunena 4.0.6 stable to your site.

I checked the NTS KBlackwhite on Kunena 4.0.6 and it worked fine.

I downgraded Kunea to 4.0.6 but issue still exist.

I think that the reason is my basic Joomla template because when I change it all is OK with editing profile.

Could You help me to resolve that?

I tried to debug on your site and switched to Kunena default template but the profile button did not show after login. So I want to help you continue. Can you clone your site to other folder or send me the backup package? I'll try to debug and does not affect to main site.

You can debug on that site.
Or I can clone it if You want :)
Choose what is better for You.

I noiced that issue is probably with my current joomla template because when I change it the edit button works.
